Roseann Meserve watercolor
A Doverite
native, I have always been involved learning some form of craft. I started
at a young age doodling and then coloring in the picture I would find
in the abstract doodles. In the early teens I progressed to piano, chorus,
band and of course the popular medium, paint by numbers. Throughout the
years I have taught myself to knit, crochet, needlepoint, cross-stitch
left handed. While displaying at craft fairs and shops I was continuously drawn to the watercolor medium. In 1995 I started my watercolor adventure with Trish Friedman in Dover until she moved to NY State. Also in the Fall of 1995 I began to pursue formal CLL art courses, with Jennifer Cromwell, Wendy Turner, and Dorine Gross. Art Therapy, Watercolor I, II, (twice) Advanced Watercolor III, Goauche, Art by the Sea. During the same time period I attended UNH Division of Continuing Education classes each Spring & Fall with Dan Britt, Portsmouth, Carol Morley, Dover, I have participated in weeklong workshops with Don Andrews, formerly of Exeter NH, Jan Kilburn, Damrascotta ME.
I attend weekly classes with Doris Rice of Hampton at the Seacoast Artist Association. I meet together with 14 friends to paint on Tuesday evenings in Dover.
For nine years I have successfully sold my small watercolor paintings in Dover at Just the Thing on Central Ave. I have displayed my work at the New England Center, the Dover & Rye & North Hampton Library & Youngs Resturant, Durham NH
