Artist Statement:
 I began painting in March, 2006, after being downsized from a corporate job at the end of 2005. I have always had a great deal of interest in the arts and a strong desire to paint. However, working in sales management left little time for taking any classes, and with my travel schedule, I was never able to commit to anything during the week.
When my job ended, I decided to retire, and the first thing I did was to sign up for watercolor classes with a local artist, Doris Rice.
Painting watercolors has become a passion for me, so even though I have not been doing it for a very long time, I can see improvement in each piece that I do. Painting gives me a great deal of peace and relaxation, and my hope is that those who view my work may get some sense of enjoyment as well.
